Trach surgery went well today. Robin had the tubes removed from her nose and mouth. Although she is still on a respirator and can not talk or eat she can at least smile and mouth words.
Katelyn, Sylvina, Linda, Katha R, and myself were all visiting Robin tonight. Another full house. Chris was already there when we arrived. She was a bit nervous about the trach tube coming off during the night, but the doctor came by and applied some "super" glue to make sure it wouldn't come off...
Robin looked very good and was breathing good. The doc said they will keep testing her lungs to see where she's at.
From the tape and hoses that were used before, Robin suffered minimal exterior irritation. Not sure about her throat, but Robin indicated it only hurt a small bit.
All the prayers help... Keep them up! She has had 5 straight good days. This will only help to get her out sooner (which she wishes could be today!):)
